How To: Save a Chichuck

This chichuck (baby lizard) has been in my sink since I woke up. They usually crawl out on their own that is why I left him there all day. He was still there this afternoon. I put on my big girl panties and saved him. This is a how to guide to saving a Chichuck from dying in your sink.

Step 1: Get a spatula.

Step 2: Scoop the chichuck into a dustpan with the spatula.

Step 3: Carry the dustpan outside and shake it until the chichuck has come off.

Step 4: Wash your spatula.

Freak Accident

I had a freak accident today as I was getting ready for school. As I was putting on my underwear I cut my finger on one of my toe nails. I thought to myself, ouch that kind of hurt but went about getting ready. Then as I was putting on my makeup I realized that I was bleeding. I realized that it was from cutting my finger on my toe nail while trying to put on my underwear. How bizarre?

Grocery Run

I thought that I would show you what it is like to go to the grocery store in Indonesia. There was another bag that I had over my shoulder that was also full of stuff. It is like going to a regular grocery store except when it is time to bring everything home. You cannot just throw everything into your trunk and head home.

You deserve to feel this... Termites

I got home this weekend after being in Jakarta and this was on my bathroom wall.
Then after teaching in the village on Tuesday, Brittany and I went to dinner and this was the sign at the restaurant.

The terminator as we affectionally call him came to the house yesterday. I hope that he did the trick. Otherwise we will feel the effects of the termites real soon.

Partyin' Partyin' Yeah

There have been a couple of parties in the last few weeks that I have attended. The first one was for Brenna. It was her birthday and we threw her a ham dinner party. I was given some ham for Christmas and this was a great way to use it. Brenna and I have been watching the Bachelor and we decided that the Bachelor should be the theme for our party. We got dressed up in fancy clothes like it was the rose ceremony for the show.

Then I went to Michaela's birthday party which was 80's themed. She was having a birthday as well. We danced to 80's songs, and played an 80's trivia game. I think that I won the award for best dressed, even though there was not a certificate. Even though I was only alive for around 2 years in the 80's, it was a great trip down memory lane.
