I made it back safely to Chicago on Thursday night around 6:00pm. It took 5 planes, 4 meals, 5 snacks, 36 hours with time changes, and two happy parents greeting me on the bottom of the escalator to make it. It is good to be back but reality is setting in that in 10 weeks I am done with undergraduate work forever.
God is good, all the time, all the time, God is good.

Leaving on a Jet Plane
I am leaving on a jet plane. I do not know when I will be back again. Today is my last day in Indonesia. I have had a wonderful time while I was here. I learned a lot about teaching and also about myself and living on my own. This morning I went to say good-bye to the children and I got mauled by them in a group hug. The boys have made up this coordinated performance whenever they see me they put their heads in their arms and pretend to cry. They all do it too. It is so great. Thank you for reading my blog and taking an adventure with me in Indonesia. I am excited to see you in person and talk to you about my experiences. God Bless

What I am here to teach?
Some people may think that all I do is vacation to fun places, and try new fruit each week. That is true but I am also here to teach. Teaching has been going really well. I taught every subject for 2 weeks and I am now weaning myself off, and giving my cooperating teacher more control of the classroom. We are currently doing a unit on Story Telling and Reading. It is so fun. The students just finished writing their stories and they will be sharing them on Friday with different grade levels. This week I am teaching English and Unit of Inquiry. These are my two favorite subjects so it is nice to end with these. I will try to add pictures of the students later today. I have to go and teach now.

Bali... So nice
This past weekend I had a Holiday in Bali with Alexis and Mark. It was so nice to be away and relax for the weekend. We could not have asked for better weather, and the beach and ocean were, oh so amazing. We got into Bali late Friday night, and went straight to bed. On Saturday we slept in a little bit and went to the pool. We then had a late lunch, went shopping, and then had a late late dinner. Don't worry souvenirs were involved in the shopping.
On Sunday we woke up early and had some breakfast. Mark and I went to the beach and Alexis hung out at the pool. We then had to check out, so we went shopping some more, and then headed to the spa. We got back into Lippo around 8:30pm. It was a great weekend.
Oh, I almost forgot- I got on the plane from stairs on the outside. I had never done that before. So fun.
Mark and I's catch phrase of the weekend, much to Alexis's dismay was, "So (insert adjective)". Mark and I have jokes but Alexis does not think so.

Bandung=Bagoose
Bagoose means good in Bahasa. That is the one word to summarize the weekend. We left Lippo at 3:30, and got in Bandung at 10:30. We drove on a busy highway backwards for about 3 minutes. We made another taxi driver angry, and he almost made us get out of the car. We went to some outlet malls, we had amazing food all weekend. I climbed a volcano. I also went in natural hot springs, and soaked my feet. That would never be allowed in the states.
The picture with me and the shirt, if you read it, the English is awful, and it makes no sense. They have t-shirts like that all around Indonesia. There are some shots of me by the volcano. It smells really sulfurous, which I was not expecting. There were also Ojecks in the middle of the jungle as we were hiking to one of the craters of the volcanoes, which is ruining nature. Also on this trip, people wanted to take pictures with us because we were white. After one of the photo shoots we were blessed by all of the children. I did not mind the photo shoots, I kind of felt like a movie star and the people were all really excited about the pictures. We were back in Lippo by 8:30 Sunday night. It was a whirlwind tour of Bandung but totally worth it. It was a bagoose weekend. I tried to post pictures but it did not work, I will try tomorrow, I need to go to bed.

Really creative name for my post inserted here
I do not have anything that is super exciting that is happening. This week I began teaching full time. That is exciting I guess. It is going really well, and I am having lots of fun with teaching. This weekend I am going to Bongdung to climb a volcano and for some quality R&R. That is about it. Nothing note worthy currently. I have added a random picture of some pretty scenery. The picture will add some visual appeal to this post.
